In this role, you drive growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities for the Automation & Digital Solutions portfolio. You will architect value-focused solutions for customers and lead cross-functional collaboration to integrate digital capabilities. The position emphasizes strategic deals, market expansion, and influencing senior stakeholders in a fast-paced, international setting. You’ll operate from the Netherlands, with significant travel, and contribute to a global digital transformation in manufacturing.

Verantwoordelijkheden

  • Develop and execute a robust business development strategy to drive sales and profitability
  • Identify untapped markets and customer segments beyond current offerings
  • Lead value analysis workshops to tailor digital solutions
  • Coordinate with internal teams to embed digital solutions into workflows and product introductions
  • Drive bidding processes with pre-project teams to prepare quotations and contracts
  • Act as trusted advisor on digital transformation and smart manufacturing
  • Build partnerships with consultants, OEMs, system integrators, and technology providers
  • Represent the company at industry events to position as a digital innovator
  • Monitor industry trends and technologies (IIoT, Cloud, Big Data, Analytics) and translate insights into strategy
  • Foster a culture of innovation, inclusion, and continuous improvement

Belangrijkste vereisten

  • University degree in Engineering (ideally electrical, IT/Computer Science, electronics, mechatronics, robotics or automation)
  • 5+ years in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships within automation or digital solutions
  • Proven track record in hunting new accounts and closing complex deals
  • Strong analytical and consultative skills with ability to translate needs into value propositions
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with senior stakeholders and technical audiences
  • Resilience in ambiguity and complexity; comfortable navigating cross-functional, multicultural teams
  • Passion for innovation and digital technologies in manufacturing
  • Fluency in English and Dutch; French a plus
