Manufacturing Equipment Engineer

The Tesla Manufacturing team is seeking a Manufacturing Equipment Engineer to troubleshoot, develop, and optimize equipment, fixtures, and end-of-arm tooling for production. Based at our Tilburg facility, this role ensures the performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of equipment used in Production. The engineer will work with cross-functional teams, manage tooling and equipment designs, train technicians, and drive initiatives to maximize overall equipment effectiveness and manufacturing efficiency.

• Manage equipment projects from concept to production, including design, validation, and ramp-up
• Design schematics and layout for industrial electrical control panels which are CE compliant and satisfy the Low voltage directive, EMC Directive and Machinery Directive.
• Design and upgrade equipment, conveyors, tooling, fixtures, and machine stations.
• Define requirements for outsourced tooling and equipment, collaborate with vendors, and establish Tesla standards
• Use tools like Minitab/JMP for data analysis to improve processes and performance.
• Partner with Operations, Safety, Quality, and Process Engineering teams to achieve production goals
• Implement reliable industrial safety systems (OSHA, ISO, CE and NEN standards) to safeguard high voltage and mechanical hazards

• Degree in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience

• 3+  years of experience in mechanical/electrical systems and custom machine-building
• Expertise in EPLAN, SolidWorks, automation systems, PLCs, robotics, and electromechanical components
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment
• Passionate about optimizing manufacturing equipment and processes, and be hands-on in the manufacturing environment
