In this role you shape mechanical architecture for cutting-edge high-tech equipment, collaborating across disciplines to translate customer needs into solid specifications and robust subsystems. You work with cross-functional teams to ensure design quality through the V-model and drive innovation with new technologies. You lead by example, guiding larger multidisciplinary teams and maintaining strong networks to support growth. This is a hands-on, impact-focused position in a dynamic Brainport-centered environment.

Verantwoordelijkheden

Collaborate closely with customers, fellow architects, Project Manager, Account Manager, and project team to align on goals
Translate customer needs into specifications and define mechanical architecture, budgets, and conceptual designs of subsystems
Specify test and integration requirements to support V-model development and ensure design quality
Build and maintain internal and external networks to enable organizational growth
Drive innovation by applying new technologies and theoretical principles in projects
Lead by example, motivating designers and engineers to own their deliverables
Manage broader scopes of work with stakeholder management, technical leadership, and guidance to large multidisciplinary teams

Belangrijkste vereisten

10 to 15 years of experience in mechatronic and precision system design (depends on seniority)
Proven track record in mechanical design within high-tech systems and/or equipment
Broad multidisciplinary orientation and understanding of how mechanical design integrates in complex systems
Strong analytical and abstract thinking with proficiency in analysis methods
Excellent communication with internal and external stakeholders
Recognized as a technical leader with deep theoretical and practical knowledge in design for excellence (DfX) and mechanisms
