About the role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Procurement Director for Global Capital Expenditure (Capex) and Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO). This strategic leadership role will be responsible for managing a global spend of approximately ~300 million for the Reckitt factories located in 5 continents. The role will involve leading a global team of buyers, collaborating closely with global engineering teams, and ensuring effective alignment with local manufacturing operations to meet business objectives.
Your responsibilities
Strategic Leadership and Category Management:
- Define and execute the global procurement strategy for Capex and MRO to expand the spend coverage, drive cost-effective and timely project execution, and improve efficiency across the organization.
- Lead and develop a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance and support to drive performance and operational excellence.
- Manage the overall ~300 million global spend, establishing clear priorities, and ensuring alignment with business goals and financial objectives.
Supplier Management and Negotiation:
- Drive supplier selection and relationship management to ensure high-quality, cost-effective considering TCO, and reliable sources for Capex and MRO.
- Strengthen and develop partnerships with strategic suppliers.
- Lead complex negotiations, managing supplier contracts, framework agreements and pricing models, to ensure favourable terms and conditions.
- Continuously evaluate and benchmark suppliers to ensure competitiveness, performance, and compliance with global standards.
Collaboration with Stakeholders:
- Ensure alignment between engineering, manufacturing, and procurement strategies:
- Work closely with global engineering teams to understand Capex project requirements, timelines, and specifications.
- Collaborate with local manufacturing teams to ensure procurement solutions support operational needs and local business requirements.
- Build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, including engineering, manufacturing, finance, and senior leadership teams.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on procurement strategies and support in decision-making processes related to Capex and MRO.
Market intelligence and Risk Management:
- Monitor market trends and emerging technologies to proactively adjust procurement strategies.
- Develop and manage risk mitigation strategies, ensuring supply chain continuity and minimizing operational disruptions.
Reporting and Compliance:
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly report on procurement performance, including savings and supplier performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical procurement standards.
The experience we're looking for
- Proven experience (10+ years) in Procurement
- Experience in strategic category management, specifically for Capex
- Experience in leading teams with a range of seniority levels and in Senior stakeholders' management.
- Experience managing large-scale budgets and working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, complex environment.
- Experience in Transformation & Change management is a plus.
