    You will be part of a team of 10 operational risk specialists. Team members have distinct areas of expertise and responsibility and are able to work independently. At the same time however the breadth of the organisation's activities and the relatively small size of the team require teamwork with team members functioning as each other's backup. Operational risk activities are divided in three sub-teams: Risk Monitoring, Control & Assurance and Incident Management. This vacancy is in the Risk Monitoring team. The teams are part of the wider Risk Management department, part of the CFRO domain.

    A focus point is enterprise risk management, demanding a broad view on risk at strategic, tactical and operational levels. This requires the ability to operate on (senior) management level and act as a sparring partner on key business topics but also a hands-on mentality and the ability to translate the strategic vision of the department into day to day action.

    The organisation's business departments, and ultimately the Executive Committee (ExCo), are responsible for managing risks resulting from their activities. It is up to us to enable management to be in control and make conscious decisions considering the risk/return balance.

    We actively support, challenge and facilitate management. Responsibilities include active maintenance and development of the Control Framework through risk assessments, analysis of incidents and monitoring of controls. We provide assurance to clients and other stakeholders through our ISAE reports, SOx reports and in control statements. In the execution of these activities, Risk Managementmaintains strong relationships within the organization and cooperates with other control functions like Compliance, Internal Audit and Legal.

    Are you able to handle a variety of tasks and work in a dynamic environment, liaising with senior management, IT specialists, auditors and other (external) stakeholders? Do you know what the challenges and complexities of an asset manager are? And are you able to translate these challenges into an effective governance and internal control environment?For this vacancy we are currently looking for a Risk Manager with a strong focus on (emerging) technology such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Microsoft Azure etc. A professional, who is future oriented, and with the ability to think in value chains and who has a cultural fit with the organisations; down to earth, hands on and open. We need a pro-active and convincing advisor that can level with management whilst safeguarding alignment with the framework.You will be responsible for:

    • Perform risk assessments with a focus on technology
    • Assess and evaluate compliance with IT standards, guidelines and requirements
    • Monitor IT improvements related to the assessments and challenge 1st line management on this
    • Facilitate external assessments, reviews and audits
    • Enhance and maintain IT risk management policies and procedures
    • Monitor industry best practices, legislation and regulations, e.g. DORA, AI act or various ISO standards
    • Act as the IT risk specialist within RM and advise and educate your risk colleagues and liaise with first line colleagues (e.g. CISO)
    • Inform internal and external stakeholders about the status of Technology risk.
    • Development of training/awareness activities

    Candidate

    The candidate we are looking for to fulfil this position has the following qualities and skills:

    • > 6 years relevant experience, preferable within IT risk management, processes and controls;
    • IT Audit knowledge / experience;
    • An academic background;
    • Tech savviness, understanding of and interest in technological developments relevant to the industry;
    • Familiar with various Microsoft products, such as Azure;
    • Keeps priorities straight and can make adjustments easily if required;
    • Ability to build a trusted relationship with internal and external stakeholders;
    • Strong strategic and critical thinking skills; ability to see the "big picture" while also diving into details as necessary;
    • Team player;
    • Hands on and result oriented;
    • Excellent communication skills, both written, oral and presentational;
    • Solid analytical, negotiating and reporting capabilities;
    • Organizational skills and ability to structure complex processes and projects;
    • Professional qualification (RE, CISA, CRISC, CISSP) or other comparable professional IT audit qualifications;
    • Knowledge of the financial sector and asset management industry.
