    Our client is a family business already grown within years. We are looking for a Finance Director who can drive the company in numbers and can be a shoulder to the CEO.

    Role



    The Financial Director (FD) is responsible for the overall management of the company financial actions. This role includes developing financial strategies, ensuring financial stability and sustainability, and providing recommendations to the CEO and the Board of Directors. The FD leads the finance department and plays a crucial role in guiding financial planning, risk management, and supporting business decisions with financial insight.

    Responsibilities

    1. Strategic Financial Leadership:

    • Develop and implement the organization's financial strategies to support business objectives.
    • Act as a sparring partner for the CEO and the senior management team.
    • Prepare financial plans, including long-term forecasts and risk assessments.



    2. Financial Management and Reporting:

    • Oversee all aspects of financial and accounting processes.
    • Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Manage the annual budgeting processes and prepare financial forecasts.



    3. Risk Management and Compliance:

    • Develop and implement risk management strategies to minimize financial risks.
    • Ensure compliance with financial laws and regulations.
    • Coordinate internal and external audits and oversee the audit processes.



    4. Capital Management and Financing:

    • Manage the organization's capital structure, including debt and equity financing.
    • Maintain relationships with investors, banks, and other financial institutions.
    • Optimize working capital management to improve the company's liquidity position.



    5. Leadership and Team Development:

    • Lead and develop the finance team to promote high performance and professional growth.
    • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
    • Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team and with other departments.



    6. Stakeholder Management and Communication:

    • Present financial reports and analyses to the Board of Directors, shareholders, and other key stakeholders.
    • Communicate financial results and strategic recommendations to the senior management team.

    Candidate

    Required Qualifications and Skills

    Education and Certifications:

    • A completed University/Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Professional certification such as CPA or a similar accreditation is strongly recommended.



    Experience:

    • At least 15 years of experience in financial roles, with at least 5-10 years in a senior executive role, such as Finance Director or equivalent.
    • Demonstrated experience in strategic financial planning, capital management, and risk management.



    Skills and Competencies:

    • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and corporate finance.
    • Excellent analytical skills and strategic thinking abilities.
    • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
    • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • High degree of integrity, ethics, and reliability.
    • Results-oriented and proactive attitude.
    • Excellent command in Dutch & English language.



    Software and Tools:

    • Experience with financial software and ERP systems.
    • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
